In a consumer landscape where sales areas are getting bigger and bigger, but professional expertise, friendliness and helpfulness are steadily declining, our bookshop is almost a world of its own: service is still very important to us and customers should still be kings.

Our credo is "small is beautiful": the store may be small, but our enthusiasm for books is all the greater! If something is missing from our constantly updated range, we are happy to order it as quickly as possible - even for viewing. After all, what could be better for us than advising our customers and helping them find the right (i.e. suitable) book thanks to our specialist knowledge?

We are proud of our profession and we love our craft: we are happy to solve even tricky "book problems" - for example by sourcing books from all over the world or finding out-of-print titles in antiquarian bookshops.

Our range

Our store is small, so we concentrate on the essentials. Our product range focuses on fiction, travel literature and maps, books for children and young people, cooking and wine. As well as illustrated and photographic books from the fields of architecture and design or "beautiful" (or bibliophile) books, which we can present particularly well in our large display windows. We also stock many special postcards (from our own and third-party production).

We sell, recommend, advise on books, life and many other issues (recipes have also been exchanged...)

We order and procure books at home and abroad and deliver them wherever our customers wish. If necessary, we also find out-of-print titles in antiquarian bookshops. Worldwide.

We focus on clear communication and disclose the cost structure (namely for procurement costs etc.) to our customers.

We enjoy wrapping books as gifts - with our own wrapping paper, by the way, with a choice of different designs. Free of charge and carriage paid.

We still deliver to schools and libraries in Winterthur by handcart or bicycle (as a sporting balance for our students!) as well as by bicycle or car courier and post.
