About us
AllGeol AG, Geology, Contaminated Sites, Environment, was founded in 2003 and is based in Winterthur. It is the successor company to Moser und Blanc, Consulting Geologists, which was founded in Winterthur in 1977. With the addition of Mr. A. Taferner as co-owner, who has been working in Winterthur since 1989, the company expanded in 1997 to become Moser, Blanc + Partner, consultants for geology, contaminated sites, and environmental issues. Following the retirement of Dr. B. Blanc, AllGeol AG was founded in 2003 as part of a company restructuring.
Description & Special Features
Geology / Geotechnics
The properties of the building ground can have a significant impact on the cost of a construction project, regardless of whether it is a single-family home, a complex residential development, industrial buildings, or a high-rise. It is therefore important to clarify the subsoil conditions as early as possible in the planning stage. Our services focus on the following areas:
Building ground forecasts
Building ground investigations
Organization of probing
Carrying out dynamic probing
Recording and interpretation of exploratory drilling and excavation test pits
Consulting for engineers and architects
Geological construction supervision during the construction phase
Contaminated sites
Contaminated sites pose a considerable risk when purchasing and selling or using and developing land or when demolishing buildings. Impairment losses, construction delays, and high disposal costs are often to be expected. Timely and careful investigations provide planning, legal, and cost certainty for the customer.
Our core competencies in dealing with contaminated sites lie in the following areas:
"Private control" specialists in the canton of Zurich
Preliminary investigation (historical and technical investigation)
Assessment of potential hazards and remediation requirements
Detailed investigation
Remediation concepts/measures for contaminated site remediation
Specialist construction management (support during remediation, demolition, and excavation work)
Sorting/separation of excavated and demolition material for treatment, recycling, or landfill
Monitoring of contaminated sites or polluted locations
Follow-up care / measurement campaigns
Investigation and remediation of shooting ranges
Property valuations
Expert opinions and second opinions
Geothermal
The use of natural geothermal energy from the ground or groundwater is a promising and environmentally friendly technology that is becoming increasingly important. Geothermal probes are often used to extract heat. Groundwater can also be used for heating and cooling purposes. The consulting geologist submits the drilling application, supervises the necessary drilling work, and ensures that the official requirements are met.
Support with the approval process (application and implementation support
Geothermal probes – hydrogeological reports
Support and recording of drilling
Profile recordings/documentation
Monitoring of short- and long-term pumping tests
Heat and cold utilization of groundwater
Groundwater modeling with GED and HydroTec
Dimensioning of extraction and return wells
Soil
Soil is defined as the top layer of earth, consisting of topsoil and subsoil, which is permeable and inhabited by organisms. Soil compaction caused by heavy agricultural and construction machinery can hardly be reversed, as the formation of new soil takes a very long time. After large-scale soil disturbance due to construction projects and terrain changes, the site must be recultivated. When planning and executing such projects, it is advisable or, depending on official requirements, mandatory to consult a soil scientist (BBB). Some cantons also maintain a cadastre of areas where soil contamination is to be expected (Canton of Zurich: test perimeter for soil displacement (PBV); Canton of Thurgau: soil contamination reference map (HKB)). In the course of planned construction projects, it is often necessary to carry out preliminary pollutant tests on soil material.
