The Vereinigte Winterthurer Zahnärzte VWZ is a private association of dentists practicing in the city of Winterthur and the districts of Winterthur/Andelfingen. VWZ is the only organization in the region that offers a 24-hour emergency service 365 days a year. We are also committed to municipal school dental care in Winterthur and the outlying municipalities and work together with the local authorities to serve the population.

The various members of the VWZ offer the entire spectrum of modern dentistry at a high level and are well networked with each other in order to guarantee you the best possible care. Consistency is important to us: your VWZ dentist will look after you for many years or decades. They can assess your individual risk of dental disease and therefore offer you the best and therefore most cost-effective care in the long term.

All VWZ dentists are also members of the Swiss Dental Association SSO, and therefore have proof of at least 50 hours of practice-relevant further training per year and are committed to complying with the SSO's code of conduct and ethical principles.

This clearly distinguishes VWZ from the dental centers that have been booming recently. Their dentists are not members of the SSO and are therefore not automatically subject to compulsory further training, professional rules or ethical principles. Many come from abroad, are poorly trained or use their employment as a stepping stone. Constant changes of practitioner are the order of the day in dental centers. So-called 90-day practitioners are even allowed to practice in Switzerland for 3 months a year on their own account without a license. Should problems arise, the place of jurisdiction is the dentist's place of residence, i.e. abroad!
