Wine plays a major role in our lives. We have been cultivating our own vines in the beautiful town of Eglisau for almost twenty years and since 2018 also in the neighboring village of Wil in Rafzerfeld. We cultivate the relatively small vineyard area of 1.4 hectares almost exclusively by hand and attach great importance to flawless, high-quality grapes. From 2022, we will work organically in our vines and also try out biodynamic practices. The perfectly south-facing steep slopes along the Rhine with their sandstone and clay soils offer ideal conditions for this. In addition to its beauty, the Rhine also has a very special significance for the microclimate of our vineyards.
In addition to the winemaking trade, we have been active in the wine trade for the past 15 years. Time and again, these two worlds have merged and we have drawn new inspiration for our work with the vines and in the wine cellar from discussions with other producers from Europe and South Africa. As a result, in addition to our "classics", we are constantly producing new, exciting wines in small quantities.
