I'm an artist originally from the city of Valencia, Venezuela. I have had a career in the art of tattooing for about 25 years. I graduated professionally from the Braulio Salazar School of Arts in my hometown. My specialty is a blend of neorealism and American art, a technique I developed while working in one of the pioneering studios in the city of Miami, Tattoos by Lou, which saw the emergence of many artists from the famous Miami Ink program.

Over the years, after working in several cities in the United States, where I also learned the Chicano style, I moved to Europe. Today, I live in Switzerland, where I've established my own professional studio, Tattoos by Juan.

I've also perfected my technique so that my tattoos retain their initial appearance, just as they did on day one, rather than looking like a simple stain over time. My aim is to create work that stands out at a minimum distance of four meters, rather than giving a blurred or indefinite impression. Here's a glimpse of my work.
