As a specialist organization, the Blue Cross provides free and discreet help with alcohol problems and related addictive substances such as cannabis or cocaine. With over 140 years of experience, we advise and treat those affected, their relatives and their family environment. Effective, unbureaucratic, anonymous, with a great deal of humanity and professionalism.

We understand addiction as a complex interplay of biological, psychological and social factors. We treat addiction sufferers with respect and provide counseling, therapy and integration. We also offer self-help groups for those affected.

The Blue Cross is also very active in prevention work, which aims to show young people that great leisure activities with like-minded people are also possible without addictive substances. The street dance program "roundabout" (for girls and young women) and "boyzaround" (for boys and young men) offers just such a meaningful, media-free leisure activity, as well as the opportunity to build friendships and discuss current and personal issues. We also carry out alcohol and tobacco test purchases on behalf of the municipalities.

The Blue Cross also runs three brockis in the canton of Zurich: Bülach, Dübendorf and Winterthur.
