If someone had asked me 15 years ago what a chiropodist does, I would have answered rather uncertainly that she paints guests' toenails. Back then, pedicure for me meant daily foot hygiene and the possible cutting of nails.

I only realized after the birth of my children that problems come with the feet. More and more often I heard phrases such as: "I stepped on something", "it's bleeding", "it's broken", "it's purple", "doesn't it look like the wart two weeks ago?", "I didn't touch it at all", "there's a blister", "the shoes are rubbing my heels", etc. If one of the children had problems with their feet, they came to me, took off their socks and asked: "Mummy, can you take a look at my foot?". They expected me to do something straight away and solve the problem. In the beginning I took advice from experts, but after a while I just grabbed the disinfectant, the scissors, I looked for plasters, I cut, brushed, removed, bandaged and my feet healed. That's when I started to take an interest in foot care, which of course is much more than painting nails.

In 2017, I attended a hand care course, but instead of putting on artificial fingernails, I became interested in foot care. I didn't let go of my plan to become a pedicurist even when we moved to Switzerland, so I chose Werner Grossman's school, where I successfully completed the pedicurist course in 2020.

I want my guests to turn to me with the same confidence as my children did back then. And I would answer questions like "Judit, would you look at my feet, can you fix them?" or "Do you have any ideas about what to do with my feet?" with the simple answer: "Of course, come and see what I can do. I'm looking forward to seeing you!"
