Our fish and meat specialties are known far beyond the region. For example, the grilled sole. Chateaubriand, served on the spot and, of course, the coveted Herren Siedfleisch, our house specialty. Or one of the many other dishes - of course also of vegetable origin - from our menu, which is inspired by local and selected international cuisine.
Enjoy your evening or a relaxing lunch in the warm atmosphere of our traditional parlor with its wood panelling and mighty beams.
History
164 years and 5 generations
The long history of the Oberes Triemli restaurant began almost exactly 164 years ago: Back then, in 1859, Jakob Hofstetter built the residential building with a pub, barn and stable.
The first structural changes were made from 1946 onwards: A butcher's shop with apartments was built; mini golf, a bowling alley, a self-service buffet for the garden restaurant and garages completed the building with a wide range of offers.
In 1984, the mini golf and bowling alley facilities were demolished, the garden restaurant was rebuilt and new halls were built. Since that year, the restaurant has presented itself in its current form.
In 2009, exactly 150 years after the first building was erected, Fabian Gallmann, a great-great-grandson of Jakob Hofstetter, took over the management of the restaurant in the 5th generation. And even today, the Hofstetter Säli and the Gaststube have been preserved in their original 164 year-old form. Other rooms are reminiscent of the eventful history of the building: where the Metzgerstübli now invites you to dine was once the butcher's shop, the Triemli Saloon and the Triemli Saloon Bar were stores - and in the early days of the building's eventful history, the barn stood there.
