The parish was formed on January 1, 2017, through the merger of the eight parishes of Celerina/Schlarigna, Las Agnas Bever-La Punt Chamues-ch, Pontresina/Puntraschigna, Samedan, S-chanf-Cinuos-chel-Chapella-Susauna, Sils/Segl-Silvaplana-Champfèr, St. Moritz, and Zuoz-Madulain.
