My work as a lawyer is based on the following understanding of the profession:

The client and lawyer form a team that works out and implements the optimal solution for the specific case together. The lawyer is responsible for assessing the legal opportunities, risks and limits and pointing these out. The client's personal responsibility is preserved. If necessary (namely in personal or family conflict situations), the lawyer will protect their client.

In principle, consensual solutions should be sought with the other party in conflict situations, as court and administrative proceedings are a highly inefficient way of dealing with conflicts. However, where a compromise is not possible, I stand up for the interests of my clients powerfully and tenaciously before courts and authorities.

In conflict situations, a purely legal or financial approach falls short. Life goes on after the conflict has been resolved amicably or by judgment. Married couples remain connected even after divorce (through children, grandchildren and mutual friends), as do relatives after the division of an estate. It is therefore reasonable and far-sighted to protect not only one's own interests in a conflict, but also decency and fairness.

I have long-standing (in some cases intergenerational), personal and trusting client relationships with numerous clients. This form of cooperation is particularly recommended for families and family businesses.
