Welcome to Hess-Divo AG. We organize auctions in the Zurich area and buy and sell coins and medals from ancient times through the Middle Ages to the modern era.
Are you interested in our current auctions or the results of past auctions?
May we introduce you to our small but fine warehouse? Are you looking for specialized literature that you can order from us?
Please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Our company's offices are located in the heart of Zurich at Löwenstrasse 55, opposite the main train station. Our main activity is holding several coin auctions per year. Our catalogs are compiled with the utmost care and professionalism. Ninety percent of the coins and medals described in the catalog are illustrated. We regularly represent our customers at auctions in Switzerland and abroad. We maintain a stock of coins and medals. We are always interested in purchasing individual items and larger collections.
To view our lots and catalogs as PDF files, register for the live auction, or participate in the live auction, please visit our homepage.

Auction terms and conditions
The prices quoted are estimates in Swiss francs. The starting price is usually 80% unless higher written bids have been received. The hammer price is payable in cash in Swiss francs with a premium of 17.5% on the hammer price. For deliveries within Switzerland, an additional 8% value added tax (VAT) is charged on all coins and medals. Gold coins are generally exempt from VAT, which means that the premium on gold coins is only 17.5% without additional VAT. Any fees payable abroad are to be paid by the buyer. Each buyer is personally liable for the purchases they make. They cannot claim to have purchased on behalf of a third party.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment of the auction invoice is due immediately for buyers present at the auction and no later than 10 days after receipt of the invoice for written bidders. Interest of 1% per month will be charged for late payments.
The auction will take place in the order of the catalog numbers. The auctioneer is entitled to combine, separate, or omit numbers at his discretion. He also decides whether a number should be called again in case of misunderstandings. The participating mayor, municipality, or state are not liable for the actions of the auctioneer.
By submitting a verbal or written bid, the auction conditions listed here are accepted. Justified complaints can only be considered within eight days of receipt of the items. The place of jurisdiction for both parties is Zurich.
The authenticity of all lots offered in the catalog is fully guaranteed.
These auction terms and conditions are available in German and English. In the event of any discrepancies, the German version shall prevail.
