If someone had asked me 15 years ago what a pedicurist does, I would have answered rather uncertainly that she paints her clients' toenails. At that time, foot care meant daily foot hygiene and possibly cutting the nails.

It was only after the birth of my children that I realized that feet can also cause problems. More and more often, I heard phrases like: "I kicked something," "it's bleeding," "it's broken," "it's purple," "doesn't that look like the wart from two weeks ago?", "I didn't even touch it," "there's a blister," "my shoes are rubbing my heels," etc. When one of the children had problems with their feet, they would come to me, take off their socks, and ask, "Mommy, can you look at my foot?" They expected me to do something right away and solve the problem. At first, I sought advice from experts, but after a while, I just grabbed the disinfectant, the scissors, looked for bandages, cut, brushed, removed, bandaged, and the feet healed. At that time, I became interested in foot care, which is of course much more than just painting nails.

In 2017, I took a manicure course, but instead of applying artificial fingernails, I was interested in foot care. I didn't give up on my plan to become a pedicurist even when we moved to Switzerland, so I chose Werner Grossman's school, where I successfully completed the pedicure course in 2020.

I want my clients to approach me with the same trust that my children had back then. And I would simply respond to questions like, "Judit, would you take a look at my feet, can you fix them?" or "Do you have any ideas about what could be done with my feet?" with, "Of course, come by and let's see what I can do. I look forward to seeing you!"
