For over 60 years
the company Christen Waagen AG in Zurich has been involved in the sale and servicing of all types of scales and meat processing machines in Switzerland. The business premises are located at Badenerstrasse 634 in Zurich-Altstetten, three minutes by car from the Zurich-Altstetten highway exit, on a popular thoroughfare.

Foundation
The company was founded in 1959 by Erwin Christen as the general agency of SUPREMA, whose factory was located in Santo Stefano, Italy. The company sold its products through specialist dealers, who resold the scales and meat processing machines to customers. Until then, the scales companies represented in Switzerland worked with regional representatives. This and the optimal price-performance ratio contributed to the success of Christen Waagen AG.

Expanding and adapting the product range
The product range was continuously expanded and updated, ranging from the mechanical SUPREMA scales with 1-gram graduation to bench, floor and built-in scales to wall-mounted quarter scales and special scales of all types and designs. There was also a wide range of meat processing machines. In the early nineties, electronics also found its way into the scales sector. The current range includes industrial, store and precision scales as well as slicing machines and vacuum devices
