NIEMAND ART & SUPPORT

Ursula Niemand (born 1.1.1942), Swiss citizen of German-Italian descent. She is known in particular as a portrait painter. In the visual arts, she is active in the fields of painting, drawings, collages, etchings, industrial design, illustrations and mail art. 

A major work by Ursula Niemand is the "JUGENDSTIL" cycle of large-format paintings with portraits of young people. 
The artist works primarily on the basis of photographs and direct contact with the people portrayed. In a multi-layered process, she translates the photographic templates into the substance of her painting. Ursula Niemand calls the originals photo notes, her painting the artistic interpretation.
