Description
GREEN TOX -
Group for Reproductive, Endocrine and Environmental Toxicology
Humans and animals are increasingly exposed to chemicals from the environment throughout their lives. During development, the organism is particularly susceptible to disruption. GREEN Tox conducts research in three areas: (1) long-term toxicity of environmental chemicals and chemical mixtures, with a focus on disruption of early development of the organism and reproduction, especially by endocrine disrupting chemicals, (2) studies on human exposure to environmental chemicals, (3) test methods to detect toxic effects on developmental processes and hormone regulation. Since rational decisions require reliable information, GREEN Tox also organizes events for the further education and training of scientists and to inform the public.
