GREEN TOX -
Group for Reproductive, Endocrine, and Environmental Toxicology
Humans and animals are increasingly exposed to chemicals in the environment throughout their lives. During its development, the organism is particularly susceptible to disruption. GREEN Tox conducts research in three areas: (1) Long-term toxicity of environmental chemicals and chemical mixtures, with a focus on disruptions to early organism development and reproduction, particularly by hormone-active chemicals, (2) Investigations into human exposure to environmental chemicals, (3) Test methods for detecting toxic effects on developmental processes and hormone regulation. Since rational decisions require reliable information, GREEN Tox also organizes events for the continuing education and training of scientists and for informing the public.
