Ophthalmic surgery Our in-house operating room is equipped for any ophthalmic surgery procedures. Surgeries are usually performed on an outpatient basis. In addition to common cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgeries, intravitreal injections are also performed in the sterile operating room. Surgeries such as eyelid correction, corneal transplants and crosslinking can also be performed. Refractive surgery Thanks to modern technology, different refractive errors can be corrected today, with the aim of making the eye independent of correction using glasses or contact lenses. With all treatment options, visual acuity increases significantly. Our offer includes femto-lasik, photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) or, in case of severe refractive error (over - 6/+3 diopters), the insertion of an artificial lens followed by laser correction (Bioptics). Prevention / Precaution Many eye diseases have an aspect that affects not only the eye, but the entire body. Therefore, we have developed offers for prevention and precaution. Spineliner: Improvement of painful situations of all kinds through sound wave therapy Micronutrients: Prevention of the development or progression of ocular or general health problems. Nutritional counseling: optimization of a healthy diet, if desired, also using gene sequence analysis. Emergency For emergencies, appointments are available at short notice by telephone arrangement. The clinic offers its outpatient, day-clinic and inpatient services in the Bern, Münchenbuchsee and Biel regions. Outpatient Outpatient treatment is suitable for patients who are still able to cope with their everyday tasks despite a mental health crisis or illness. It is designed to help them cope with the crisis or illness and remain integrated in their private and eventually professional environment. Partial inpatient treatment In addition to outpatient therapy, partial inpatient treatment offers patients suffering from a mental health crisis or illness additional support and structure. This often means that inpatient treatment can be avoided or shortened. In addition, patients remain largely integrated in their environment. Privatklinik Wyss offers two treatment programmes in Münchenbuchsee, which differ in their weekly structure (5 or 3 weekdays). As the individual treatment elements are carefully coordinated, attendance is required on all programme days. Inpatient Inpatient treatment for a mental health crisis or illness may be indicated for various reasons: It is hardly possible to cope with everyday tasks. There are signs of increasing self-harm. It is temporarily necessary to distance oneself from a stressful or self-incriminating environment. In view of the complexity of a crisis, illness or situation, intensive and focussed clarification or treatment is necessary. Stability for outpatient or partial inpatient treatment is not (or no longer) sufficient.
