Very disappointing labor experience, especially considering advertised services Had an interview with a mid-wife to discuss the birth plan a few days before due date but on the delivery day NONE of the advertised birth techniques (also discussed during that appointment) were ever offered, on the contrary, they disrespected almost all of our expressed wishes: 1- didn't get ANY of the techniques advertised (bath tub, massages, aromatherapy, maya bench, etc.) 2 - they clamped the cord and would have cut it right away if my husband didn't intervene vs letting it stop pulsing and only then be cut by him 3 - pushed on my belly and pulled the cord to make the placenta come out vs letting it be deliverd spontaneously 4 - cleaning team rushed into the birth room, while I was still, leg oppened, on the delivery bed with my infant on my belly 5 - fed formula to my baby from the very beginning, after or even before I breastfed 6 - waited 45min on a chair for a suitable resting room to be available
