Description
The four parts of osteopathy
Parietal osteopathy
This area of therapy is similar to the techniques of manual medicine and chiropractic and aims to correct and mobilize joints.
Visceral osteopathy
The mobility of the respective organ in relation to its anatomical environment and the organ's own rhythm are examined and treated.
Restrictions in an organ can lead to complaints in the spine and vice versa.
Cranio-sacral osteopathy
This sub-area deals with the rhythmic movement of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), as well as the transmission of these rhythmic processes to the meninges, the bones of the skull, the sacrum and the entire body.
Myo-fascial osteopathy
This area deals with the tensions in the body that are transmitted via the fascial network. Myofascial work has a loosening and pain-relieving effect and thus improves the removal of metabolic residues and lymph.
The strength of osteopathy lies in finding and treating complaints whose connections are recognizable through the holistic and networked analysis.
