Company history

On March 2, 1996, Markus and Nicole Hunziker opened a small bakery in Arch. In 2000, we built our new premises at Römerstrasse West 24.
In 2001, we moved and opened the "Römer Café"and the new bakery.

We are a bakery, pastry shop, confectionery, and café that focuses on quality and uses raw ingredients sourced from the local area.
We are happy to cater to customer requests or lovingly present our creations at your event.

We spoil our customers every day, 363 days a year, until closing time, with bread fresh from the oven and are constantly working on new and innovative products. We strive to do our best to ensure that our patented bread specialties, such as Römerbrot and Ziegelbrot, meet the highest quality standards.
