Your family-run driving school in Basel for 49 years

It all started with our father and grandfather Bertram Fernando's enthusiasm for cars and a Mazda 121 in 1971. After arriving in Switzerland in the 1960s, he worked as a mechanic for buses and later decided to become a driving instructor. Not just because Bertram loved cars, but because he enjoyed working with people.

Thanks to his friendly manner and fair approach, Fernando's driving school quickly established itself in the Basel region. In 1987, his son Marc also got behind the wheel and in 1992 his daughter Indi. With Kisha Spagnolo-Fernando and her husband Antonio Spagnolo-Fernando, the third generation of the family is now working at the driving school.

Our clientele also spans generations. Grandchildren of grandparents who learned to drive with us 40 or 50 years ago often come to the driving school. Our mint green logo, which has been the unmistakable trademark of our driving school since 1989, is also an integral part of our company history.

We are loyal, fair and responsible. There are no unnecessary driving lessons with us. Quality before quantity. Just like a typical family.
