Born in the snowy winter of 1968, mother of two daughters, I enjoy my free time in nature, reading or singing, and also enjoy company over a good meal or a game.

I have been working as an occupational and organizational psychologist, career consultant and coach for over 20 years. I am a member of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists, the Swiss Society for Career and Personnel Psychology and the Swiss Society for Coaching Psychology and work according to their principles. I check the quality of my work in interpersonal and supervision sessions and undergo continuous further training.

In terms of my approach, I am a solution- and resource-oriented coach with a rich backpack of methods and a wide range of experience. I am influenced by the hypnosystemic concepts of Gunther Schmidt and the work of Noni Höfner, among others. Even during my studies, I was particularly interested in "transitions", because transitions always mean a change to something new. Now I have the good fortune to work with you on precisely such situations in my current job. It requires a closer look, perhaps also a broadening of the field of vision or a change of perspective. Here you will find the space to focus, to place yourself and your concerns at the center and to find solutions.

Coaching - Work Life Balance

Are you often unable to concentrate, do you feel stressed or overwhelmed? Do you have doubts about your abilities, do you feel dull and lack the courage and strength to improve your situation on your own initiative and need an impetus to set this process in motion?

Together we will clarify your situation in our coaching room in Bern, define your goals and become clear about your resources and skills. Reflecting on your current situation helps you to tackle problems in a targeted manner and develop concrete solutions. During the coaching session, I support you in developing new perspectives and thereby expanding your scope for action. Burnout risks are addressed so that we can take timely and preventative action.

Leadership coaching

Are you about to take on a management position and want to prepare carefully for this step? Have you been working as a manager for some time and would like to take the time and space to exchange ideas with a competent counterpart?

In a coaching session, we work together to clarify your leadership behavior in your current position. We examine your behavior and attitude towards your employees. Any potential for conflict will also be discussed and solutions developed.

Career counseling

Are you thinking about developing your career? Are you thinking of changing jobs and are not sure whether your application documents meet the current requirements? Do you have to decide between a specialist or management career? You are not sure whether your job is the right one for you? Are you afraid of a restructuring at your workplace?

During a career consultation in our coaching room in Bern, we reflect together on your current professional situation and position, develop goals and check whether they are achievable. We work out strategies to better deal with changes and challenges in your professional environment. I will guide you through important decisions and help you to recognize your potential.

Coaching - work and learning strategy

Do you keep putting off writing papers or studying? Are you tormented by test anxiety before or during an exam? Do you need more time than others to master the learning material? Do you lack a method to solve a task accurately? Have you been diagnosed with AD(H)S or dyslexia/dyslexia or do you suspect that you are affected?

Coaching involves reflecting on your situation together and developing strategies to deal with the challenges. We examine blockages and develop strategies to improve structures and reduce anxiety. In our coaching room in Bern, we take the time to find your individual solution.

Coaching - Conflict resolution

Do you find yourself repeatedly embroiled in similar conflicts and lack the ability to recognize or resolve them in good time? Do you feel uncomfortable in a team and fear the escalation of a conflict? Are you unsure whether your way of resolving conflicts is the right one?

In coaching, we look for the underlying causes of an existing conflict, clarify your role in conflicts and develop measures to prevent them from spreading or escalating. We clarify your conflict management methods and look for ways to develop them further.

Supervision

Would you like to reflect on your professional actions? Would you like to clarify your position in a group or team with your colleagues? Would you like to develop personally in your professional environment?

During supervision, we reflect together on the role and relationship dynamics in your professional environment. We develop new perspectives and thus recognize new possibilities for action. We initiate learning processes that promote the development of your professional identity and strengthen awareness of your professional role.

Coaching - family business

Planning succession in good time is a major challenge for every entrepreneur. It is not uncommon for fears and uncertainties to block the passing on of one's life's work to a potential successor. In a coaching session, we work together to clarify internal company and/or family situations that stand in the way of a positive succession plan.

Coaching - career decisions

It is not always easy for managers to make further personnel decisions. A request for further training cannot be fulfilled, a management position is filled differently than planned, or an outplacement even occurs. I support you in these difficult decision-making processes in a coaching session.

Team development/coaching

Whether a team can fulfill its mission well is determined by many factors. Are the tasks in the team clearly defined? Who takes on which role? How is the team organized, how do collaboration and communication work? These questions can arise during team development.

In coaching, we work together to develop solutions to clarify the strengths and weaknesses of a team and to recognize the potential of teamwork and make sensible use of resources. We also look at the informal role behavior of team members and clarify tasks and goals.

Seminars

On request, I offer tailor-made workshops on topics such as communication, appraisal interviews as a management tool, conflict management or dealing with stress.

I am also happy to develop workshops on other topics with you if you are interested.

Now, together with Karin Gasser, I also run horse-assisted seminars on the topics of leadership, team development and collaboration.

School management

There are many different demands on teachers, and new challenges posed by inclusive teaching such as team teaching can lead to stress for teachers. In team coaching for some or all of the teaching staff, we reflect on smouldering conflicts or work out ways to avoid them.

As a principal, would you like to support a teacher in expanding or rediscovering their skills? Or would you like to rethink your internal school training or redesign the career choice concept and would like external support? Thanks to my former role as a careers advisor, I am familiar with working with schools, the AKVB and the BSLB. I can support you in the implementation of projects, concepts and processes.

Hospitals, care homes
