Herba di Berna is a non-profit, family-run start-up based in Bern. Our experienced team is passionate about producing a range of CBD products. We use natural, regenerative farming methods without artificial fertilizers and source our electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources.

We strive to restore cannabis, a cultivated and useful plant, to its rightful place in society. Its applications are very diverse, and we make them accessible with our products – from CBD hemp flowers to CBD oils.

We make decisions collectively and, as a non-profit corporation, we operate fairly towards our employees, customers, and the environment.

Our production team has many years of experience and extensive expertise in the cultivation and processing of cannabis. We combine traditional processing methods with new insights to get the best out of every plant. The result is first-class cannabis products made with great attention to detail.

 

After harvesting, the flowers are fermented for several weeks to achieve an optimal taste experience. All processes are subject to strict quality standards and are regularly monitored by the team and external laboratories.

The flowers of plants grown in living soil contain more terpenes and cannabinoids than those grown conventionally. Our cultivation method is also a decision in favor of higher quality that you can feel.

 

With 100% renewable energy

In addition to using cultivation methods that are as natural as possible, we also contribute to a sustainable future in the energy sector: Herba di Berna obtains its electricity exclusively from renewable hydropower.

 

Old methods reinterpreted

Our "Living Soil" concept is based on the idea of combining the advantages of natural, living soil with the security of indoor cultivation. This allows the plants to grow in healthy, balanced soil while still being protected from harmful environmental influences in a regulated climate all year round.

 

Living soil cannot tolerate toxins

Soil health is of central importance in production. In addition to three different worm cultures that keep our soil healthy, millions of microorganisms also contribute to keeping the soil fertile. The whole setting is supplemented with beneficial insects that combat pests. This cultivation method does not tolerate toxins, because otherwise all our living creatures would perish.
