About us

Alplant GmbH was founded in 2016 by hemp producer Claudio Buholzer and chemist Dr. Jebril Hadi from the University of Bern with the aim of producing and selling cannabis light. Today, the company is an important player on the market and has won several awards.

Production takes place entirely in Switzerland in accordance with organic cultivation guidelines. Our diverse range of cannabis products is supplied to all European countries.

Alplant attaches great importance to residue-free plants. That is why we do not use pesticides at all and rely exclusively on cleanliness, organic products and beneficial organisms.

Our competent employees have a lot of experience with the long, complex processes of hemp cultivation and grow excellent, healthy plants whose delicate flowers and components are harvested and processed with the utmost care.

Respect for the plant

With the vision of making the diverse uses of the hemp plant accessible to as many people as possible, hemp producer Claudio Buholzer and chemist Dr. Jebril Hadi (University of Bern) founded Alplant GmbH in 2016. The two recognized the potential of the hemp plant early on and have been conducting research and development with cannabinoids and extracts for many years.

IG Hemp

This commitment to the cannabis plant also led Claudio Buholzer to establish and co-found the IG Hemp interest group, in which he serves as president. Today, IG Hemp has over 60 members and promotes networking and cooperation in the industry. In addition, IG Hemp is the Swiss hemp association recognized by the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health); it coordinates cooperation with the authorities and advocates for regulation at the legislative level.
