We are delighted to announce that Nathalie Schaller (Dr in Acupucture) and Fabienne Christen (qualified physiotherapist and qualified APM therapist) have successfully completed their training in acupuncture (2012) and Penzel acupuncture massage (2013). Congratulations to them. With these two techniques, we are expanding our range and possibilities for you.
Traditional Chinese medicine has been practiced for more than 3000 years. Its concept views the human being as a single entity. Acupuncture, which works on energy and blood circulation, is a discipline of Chinese medicine. It enables not only the treatment of diseases, but also their prevention. It has shown its effectiveness for various ailments and problems. Musculoskeletal complaints: joint, muscle and tendon pain. Ischialgia, tennis elbow, neck pain, lumbago, Achilles tendinopathy, periarthritis. Neurological complaints: headaches, migraines, dizziness, nerve paresis or paralysis. Digestive complaints : constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, flatulence. Respiratory problems : asthma, sinusitis, cough, rhinitis. Allergies : hay fever. Skin complaints: acne, eczema, shingles. Uro-genital complaints: menstrual disorders, menopausal symptoms. Circulatory problems: low-high blood pressure, heavy legs, cold extremities. Metabolic disorders: obesity, diabetes. General illnesses: sleep disorders, fatigue, anxiety, support during chemo-radiotherapy. This list is not exhaustive, more details can be found on the website of the WHO (World Health Organization). The costs of treatment are covered by supplementary insurance for complementary or alternative medicine, partially or fully.
Acupoint massage according to Penzel
Penzel acupuncture massage (APM) is a holistic form of treatment that is based on the principles of acupuncture, the energy cycle, the five-element theory and ear acupuncture and was founded by Willy Penzel in the 1950s.
How does acupuncture massage work? According to Far Eastern medicine, the energy system is superior to all other body systems. It explains all kinds of symptoms and illnesses with an impaired energy flow, i.e. each body system (e.g. muscles, nerves, organs) can only fulfill its task optimally if it is supplied with the right amount of energy. The aim of APM is therefore to rebalance the disturbed energy flow and thus remedy the symptoms.
Does health insurance pay for APM treatment? I am registered with most health insurance companies. The costs of the treatment are covered by health insurance companies via supplementary insurance for alternative medicine and a doctor's prescription is not usually required. However, it is advisable to check directly with your health insurance provider before starting therapy to find out what conditions they will cover the costs.I am happy to answer any further questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you.
