History

The Rey family business was built up step by step by Walter and Erwin Rey in 1934, when Walter Rey decided to give up his job as a machinist and devote himself entirely to vegetable cultivation.

In the beginning, the vegetables were marketed at the weekly market in Baden, later on Ausstellungsstrasse in Zurich and, since 1980, also at Engrosmarkt in Zurich. This hub for fruit and vegetables is still at the center of our marketing today, where a significant proportion of the products are sold

The Rey vegetable team

Since 1985, the business has been run by Urs, Bruno and Kurt Rey with the help of Elisabeth Rey and our long-standing employee Peter Meier. The three brothers have been actively supported by their offspring Peter and Marco since 2001. From March to November, several seasonal employees are also employed
