Wendelinhof

Our farm is located in Niederwil / AG in the Reussthal between Mellingen and Bremgarten. We have been producing meat and arable crops under the Bio-Suisse +KAG Freiland label for over 35 years.

We focus on careful and nature-friendly production. Be it in organic farming or in our cattle and poultry fattening.

Animal welfare is not a market strategy for us, but a matter of course.

Poulets "Mustica"

   

Our chickens spend the whole day in the pasture and can live out their natural needs such as scratching, pecking and dust bathing without restriction!

The daily stay in nature and the extensive breed guarantee natural rearing. This makes the chicken meat more aromatic and contains significantly less water than conventionally produced chicken meat.

We strictly avoid the use of antibiotics in our poultry. The health of our animals is promoted by a robust choice of breed, by changing the location of the stables, small groups of animals and the use of homeopathy.

The animals are fed 100% organic feed, which is free from genetically modified organisms, animal proteins, iodine, performance enhancers and medication.


Our company philosophy places animal welfare at the top of the list and is taken into account in all further developments and implemented without compromise.

From the end of January to mid-March, our organic free-range chicken production has a seasonal break due to the cold, sparse vegetation in winter.

However, we have frozen chicken "Mustica" in stock for this period.

Angus cattle

Our suckler cow herd belongs to the Angus breed. The naturally hornless and extensive beef cattle breed is perfectly suited to a near-natural form of husbandry and enables us to raise the animals without any concentrated feed.

During the growing season, the animals are permanently out on pasture and can thus live out their natural instincts and needs.

The animals spend the hot summer months on our alp in Glarnerland.

The quality is characterized by the extremely tasty and tender meat, of which we have been convinced since our 35 years of suckler cow husbandry.

The well-being of our animals is very important to us.

The animals are slaughtered in a slaughterhouse in the neighboring municipality of Wohlen (5 minutes' drive) and are brought by us personally in a livestock trailer.

The animals are used to getting into a trailer due to the annual trip to Glarnerland. For this reason, boarding and the journey to Wohlen is also stress-free.

Christmas poultry

Fresh Christmas poultry is available every October 

Our Christmas poultry spends the whole day in the pasture and can move around extensively. The geese and ducks also have fun in the pond. All our animals experience natural and gentle rearing.

As the animals are reared naturally, the weights given below are always somewhat difficult to determine. However, we endeavor to meet the wishes of our customers.

Our alp

We summer our suckler cow herd on our own alp in the canton of Glarus, allowing the animals to stay in a pleasant climate and eat tasty grasses and herbs. They stay there from June to mid-September and return to our pastures afterwards.

Our farm shop

We sell our own meat and poultry in our farm store. We also offer selected products from organic partner farms.
