January 21, 2022 | Anonymous userOur farm is located in Niederwil/AG in the Reuss Valley between Mellingen and Bremgarten. We have been producing meat and crops under the Bio-Suisse +KAG Freiland label for over 35 years.
We focus on gentle and natural production methods, both in organic farming and in our cattle and poultry farming.
For us, animal welfare is not a marketing strategy but a matter of course.
Mustica chickens
Our chickens spend the whole day in the pasture and can freely indulge in their natural behaviors such as scratching, pecking, and dust bathing!
Daily access to nature and the extensive breed guarantee natural rearing. This makes the chicken meat more flavorful and contains significantly less water than conventionally produced chicken meat.
We strictly refrain from using antibiotics in our poultry. The health of our animals is promoted by choosing robust breeds, changing the location of the coops, keeping small groups of animals, and using homeopathy.
The animals are fed 100% organic feed, which is free from genetically modified organisms, animal proteins, iodine, performance enhancers, and medication.
Animal welfare is at the forefront of our company philosophy and is taken into account in all further developments and implemented without compromise.
From the end of January to mid-March, we have a seasonal break in our organic free-range chicken production due to the sparse, cold vegetation in winter.
However, we have frozen "Mustica" chicken in stock for this period.
Angus cattle
Our herd of suckler cows belongs to the Angus breed. This naturally hornless and extensive beef cattle breed is perfectly suited to natural husbandry and allows us to raise the animals without any concentrated feed.
During the growing season, the animals are permanently on pasture and can thus live out their natural instincts and needs.
The animals spend the hot summer months on our alpine pasture in the Glarus region.
The quality is characterized by the extremely tasty and tender meat, which we have been convinced of since we started raising suckler cows 35 years ago.
The well-being of our animals is very important to us.
The animals are slaughtered in a slaughterhouse in the neighboring municipality of Wohlen (5 minutes' drive away) and are transported there by us personally in a livestock trailer.
The animals are used to being loaded into a trailer thanks to their annual trip to the Glarus region. This means that loading and transport to Wohlen is stress-free.
Christmas poultry
Fresh Christmas poultry is availablein October.
Our Christmas poultry spend the whole day in the pasture and can move around freely. The geese and ducks also enjoy themselves in the pond. All our animals are raised in a natural and gentle manner.
As the animals are raised naturally, the weights listed below are always somewhat difficult to determine. However, we strive to meet the wishes of our customers.

Organic poulards (from mid-November )
Our alpine pasture
We graze our herd of suckler cows on our own alpine pasture in the canton of Glarus, allowing the animals to enjoy the pleasant climate and feed on tasty grasses and herbs. They stay there from June to mid-September and then return to our pastures.
Our farm shop
We sell our own meat and poultry in our farm shop. We also offer selected products from organic partner farms.
