For over 100 years, the traditional Swiss company Kellpax has been a reliable partner for exterior and interior doors. Shortly after the turn of the century, a timber goods factory was founded in Klingnau and a joinery and carpentry workshop in Bremgarten. Both companies developed into sought-after door manufacturers and were merged in 1992. We have remained true to wood as a material and to our craft to this day.

Reliability, speed, flexibility and personal support have been our hallmarks for generations. In addition, we have a high level of manufacturing and development expertise in doors.

Wood is a naturally grown material that often has a history of over 100 years of processing. This is why the resource-conserving and sustainable use of this raw material is particularly important to us.

Forests are our green lungs...
that provide us humans with sufficient oxygen - a 100-year-old beech tree releases around 1.7 kg of oxygen per hour. This is roughly equivalent to the amount that 50 people need to breathe in one hour. And without the rainforests - the green lungs of the earth - life and survival would be impossible.


PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certification guarantees the verified and therefore unquestionable origin of the wood. Our Swiss production site and many of our production facilities in Europe are PEFC-certified and label their products accordingly with "70% PEFC" (= at least 70% of the wood used in production comes from PEFC-certified forests).

JELD-WEN is therefore committed to sustainable forest management. We therefore work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainable practices and can provide evidence of the relevant certifications.

We have our claims confirmed by the FSC™ and PEFC seals. Both certification systems are recognized worldwide and stand equally for sustainable forest management. They differ in that European and American forests are mainly PEFC-certified, whereas FSC certification is usually possible for tropical woods. For our manufacturing process, this means guaranteed sustainability throughout. For you, this means active environmental protection and the ability to fully trace the origin of the wood.


With its FSC (Forest Stewardship Council™) chain of custody certification, JELD-WEN Europe gives you the certainty that at least 70% of the wood used in production comes from socially and environmentally responsible forest management. Neither people were exploited nor were animals and plants endangered during the logging process. It is currently the only internationally valid certificate that is also recognized by the WWF

Houses and apartments have always been places of retreat from public life, where we recharge our batteries and find peace and quiet.

How comfortable we feel at home depends on various factors. In addition to light, colors and furnishings, the indoor climate also has a decisive influence on our well-being and health. After all, we spend almost two thirds of our time indoors. Here we are protected from the wind and weather, but instead of a fresh, natural breeze, we often breathe in indoor air that is contaminated with pollutants.

Typical pollutants that affect our indoor air are primarily volatile organic compounds such as solvents and formaldehyde. They are contained in paints, varnishes or adhesives and often enter our living spaces unnoticed.

To ensure that you do not compromise on your health, you should make sure when selecting building materials, floor coverings, furniture and interior doors that the products used are as low in pollutants as possible

We are the only door manufacturer that has been tested according to the strict quality criteria of the SHI and is recommended and used in consultations and construction projects according to the Sentinel House concept. All of the recommended values defined in these criteria were undercut, as were the RAL UZ38 guide values for formaldehyde and TVOC emissions.

This means that our products meet the SHI guidelines due to their very low emission values and are primarily recommended and approved for SHI projects. As you can see: With our interior door elements, you can play it safe when building your own home.
