At Châtel-St-Denis, Schmidt architecture Sàrl is different. After creating Schmidt et Genet Sàrl in late 2003, Damien Schmidt is taking over the reins of the office solo in 2019. He is simply changing the name of the company to Schmidt architecture Sàrl.

The studio's philosophy remains unchanged, and the team continues with the same objective: to best meet their customers' expectations. This young, dynamic team benefits from enriching local know-how. By no means confined to a particular architectural specialty, Damien is equally at home on projects such as regional and/or local feasibility studies, listed or protected urban and/or rural renovations, construction and extension of contemporary villas and multi-family dwellings, as well as total, partial or even specific expert appraisals and construction management, all with the aim of meeting his clients' expectations as a priority. At the same time, he strives to perpetuate the values instilled in him by his apprenticeship master, while developing his own philosophy in which listening, dialogue, respect, collaboration and trust between each of the players involved in project development and construction represent the fundamental ingredients for successful architectural events.

For contrary to the common image conjured up by the term "architecting", this designer sees it rather as a fundamental step to personalized help through "intimate" communication in the ordering of ideas, the prioritization of intentions, the confirmation of choices in order to establish moving relationships between each of the elements making up the future spaces, from the outside in or vice versa so that they ultimately become the manifestation of a meeting between the wishes or even the hopes of a project owner and reality.
