The Mikulas workshop was founded in 1993 and now employs six people. Its activity is diversified but revolves around a few privileged areas: The enhancement of old buildings, whether listed or not; construction using wood as the material of choice, a contextual architecture that draws inspiration from its environment.
An architectural project is inscribed as a stage in a continuity in history. This is why the reading of a site or the understanding of an existing building and its history proceed from the same preoccupation: Enhance (pre)existing elements, respond to the concerns of the present time and leave for future generations a meaningful contribution of our time.
