Our core competencies at a glance:

Hormone diseases and diabetes (endocrinology-diabetology) / diabetes consultations / nutritional consultations / podiatry / internal medicine 

The knowledge and experience of people with diabetes are crucial for good metabolic control.
The topics listed are modules that can be completed individually. Each lasts 1-1 ½ hours, always in the afternoon with a maximum of 8 participants. A topic is offered between 2 and 8 times a year.

Services of the Diamon Institute:

• Specialist medical care for patients (from the age of 14, on referral by the family doctor, according to international standards)

• Training for chronic diseases, individually and in groups

• Exercise and weight loss programs (e.g. the national DiaFit program)

• Specialist medical laboratory (incl. dynamic hormone tests)

Medical services

• Consultation hours for diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, obesity, hormones and metabolism

• Ultrasound of the thyroid

• Diabetes and nutritional advice
• Foot care / podiatry (Orthopaedics - Podiatry, Malgaroli & Wernle)
• Training / further training / advanced training for specialist staff (general practitioners, nursing staff and doctors in clinics and retirement homes, Spitex, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies etc...)
• Obesity

Technical services

• Laboratory, ECG, Doppler vascular pressure, 24-hour blood pressure measurements, electronic blood glucose monitoring
• Blood glucose measurements with probe over several days
• All insulin pump systems
• All blood glucose devices
• Fine needle punctures
