In the event of a death, our role is to advise the family and coordinate the various parties involved in organizing the funeral, with respect, dignity and discretion. The family is at the center of all decisions.

• Conversation regarding the steps to be taken in our offices or at the bereaved family's home.
• Execution of legal and obligatory formalities, contact with authorities, commune of domicile, parish, civil status, as well as organization of the farewell ceremony
• Choosing the mortuary domicile, at home or at the funeral home

• We help and advise you in choosing the type of ceremony:
  - A traditional farewell ceremony
  - A personalized farewell ceremony
  - An intimate farewell ceremony
  - A secular farewell ceremony
  - A burial without ceremony (cremation or burial)
• We offer you the choice of a coffin, the various possible supplies and objects.
• The choice of clothing, make-up, hairstyle, grooming. A close relative can participate in the care of the deceased.
• Floral decoration
• The drawing up of the obituary notice and publication in the various newspapers of your choice

• The printing of invitations as soon as possible; subsequently thank-you cards
• Transfer of the body from the place of death to the mortuary home
• Preparation, cleansing and committal of the deceased
• Preparation of coffin and room
• Accompanying the family at all times: before, during and after the ceremony
  The family has the option of attending the closing of the coffin before the ceremony.
• Transfer of casket to ceremony site, then to cemetery for burial or crematorium
• Organization and return of ashes to the family
• Evtl. burial of urn with or without people from church. Or, the family has the right to freely dispose of the ashes after cremation.
• Establishment and/or printing of thanks in the press or cards

• Follow-up with the family in the days that follow

History

It was in 1996 that Danielle Voisard-Schaub, a married mother of three, began her on-the-job training in various Swiss undertakers, after having criss-crossed the globe as a flight attendant for 20 years with Swissair. With a good grounding in human relations and the habit of working irregular hours, she changed her career path entirely and opened a funeral home in the spring of 1997 in the town of Delémont, assisted in part by her husband.

Member of the Association Suisse des Entrepreneurs de Pompes Funèbres, it was in 2001 that Danielle Voisard, obtained the " brevet fédéral d'entrepreneur de pompes funèbres ". Entirely bilingual, and in conjunction with her own company, she agreed to serve on the Swiss Central Committee for a number of years, responsible for the north-western part of French-speaking Switzerland, as well as preparing for the federal diploma examinations.

Still keen to keep up with the times, Danielle Voisard also took courses with Madame R. Poletti on "accompanying the bereaved". Poletti "accompaniments for the bereaved", as well as various courses on suicide, and accompanying children through bereavement.

Since 1996 Danielle Voisard has been running the business and still attaches great importance to great personal availability to bereaved families, to quality attention and listening, and to the human dimension of her activities.

Joined by her husband, Romain Voisard, over the years they have expanded their business to include undertakers in Ajoie and the Franches-Montagnes. In recent years, their sons Eric and Jérôme have joined the family team.

After a restructuring in December 2015, the members of the Voisard family have refocused their forces within a single company, ARC-JURA VOISARD and are present throughout the canton of JURA.

This family-run business offers quality services, due to its willingness to be always available, with the aim of being able to satisfy families' wishes, while maintaining attention to detail. Currently with two offices in Delémont and Porrentruy, the Voisard family also travels to families' homes throughout the canton.

Repatriation abroad

Whatever the country of destination, we transport the deceased abroad or from abroad to Switzerland, by air or by mortuary car, and take care of all related formalities as quickly as possible.

We have experience in this field and can express ourselves in several languages namely: French, English and German which facilitates the procedures outside.

Funeral planning

When a loved one dies, it can be difficult to make certain decisions, " burial or cremation ? ", " Traditional or intimate ceremony ? ", etc.

Preparing one's own funeral in advance makes it possible, on the one hand, to personally choose what will happen at the time of death, but also, and above all, to spare one's loved ones from decisions that can be difficult to make, lacking knowledge of the deceased's last wishes.

In order to avoid certain inconveniences, we offer you options for preparing your funeral

• Mes dernières volontés (a form that remains at home and will serve as a basis for family members who will have to take charge of the arrangements at the time of death)

• The Funeral Contract (Contract with our company, containing your last wishes and assuring you that everything will be done to respect them, this with or without prepayment according to your wishes and/or possibilities)
