History
In 1996, Danielle Voisard-Schaub, a married mother of three, began her training in the field at various funeral homes in Switzerland, after traveling the world as a flight attendant for Swissair for 20 years. With a wealth of interpersonal skills and accustomed to irregular hours, she changed course completely and opened a funeral home in the town of Delémont in the spring of 1997, assisted in part by her husband.
A member of the Swiss Association of Funeral Directors, Danielle Voisard obtained her "federal funeral director's certificate" in 2001. Fully bilingual and in conjunction with her own business, she agreed to serve on the Swiss central committee for several years, as head of the northwestern part of French-speaking Switzerland, as well as preparing for the federal certificate exams.
Always striving to improve her skills, Danielle Voisard also took courses with Ms. R. Poletti on "supporting the bereaved," as well as various courses on suicide and supporting children through grief.
Since 1996, Danielle Voisard has been managing the company and continues to place great importance on being personally available to bereaved families, providing attentive and quality care, and maintaining the human dimension of her activities.
Joined by her husband, Romain Voisard, they have gradually expanded their business to include funeral homes in Ajoie and Franches-Montagnes. In recent years, their sons Eric and Jérôme have joined the family team.
Following a restructuring in December 2015, the members of the Voisard family refocused their efforts within a single company, ARC-JURA VOISARD, and are now present throughout the canton of Jura.
This family business offers high-quality services, striving to be available at all times with the aim of satisfying families' wishes while maintaining attention to detail. Currently with two offices, in Delémont and Porrentruy, the Voisard family also travels to families' homes throughout the canton.
Other services
Repatriation abroad
Regardless of the destination country, we transport the deceased abroad or from abroad to Switzerland, by plane or hearse, and we take care of all the related formalities as quickly as possible.
We have experience in this field and can communicate in several languages, including French, English, and German, which facilitates procedures abroad.
Funeral planning
When a loved one dies, it can sometimes be difficult to make certain decisions, such as "burial or cremation?" or "traditional ceremony or private service?" etc.
Planning your own funeral in advance allows you to personally choose what will happen when you die, but also, and above all, to spare your loved ones from having to make decisions that can be difficult to make without knowing the deceased's last wishes.
To avoid certain inconveniences, we offer you options for preparing your funeral
- My last wishes (a form that remains at home and will serve as a basis for family members who will have to take care of the arrangements at the time of death)
- The Funeral Contract (a contract with our company, containing your last wishes and ensuring that everything will be done to respect them, with or without prepayment, depending on your wishes and/or your means)
