Health care

We offer you health services for the following stages of life:

• Puppy/kitten purchase

• Youth health check incl. vaccination

• Puppy check for questions about neutering

• Annual check incl. vaccination and parasite prophylaxis

• Tooth check for problems around the mouth

• Senior check incl. laboratory analyses and other clarifications for healthy ageing

• Behavioral check for questions about problems such as anxiety, behavioral disorders or other abnormalities

• Nutrition check for questions about nutrition including barfing etc.

Internal medicine and dermatology

• Clinical examination incl. basic medical care

• Complicated investigations such as Cushing's disease, hypo- or hyperthyroidism, diabetes, etc.

• Inpatient treatment and care with infusomats and oxygen supply

• Emergency medicine

• Ophthalmology (fluorescein test, eye pressure measurements with TONOVET)

• Ultrasound examinations of the abdomen to clarify cystitis, salivary gland inflammation, tumors, etc.

• Dermatological examinations for parasites and allergies, including allergy tests and desensitization

Surgery and anaesthesia

• Surgical procedures on all soft tissues (castrations, tumor resections, removal of foreign bodies, gastric torsion, etc.)

• Anesthesia with gentle inhalation anesthesia with isoflurane and oxygen

• Anesthesia monitoring and documentation by a qualified veterinary assistant with specialist training in anesthesia

Diagnostics

• Our own laboratory in the practice for blood and urine tests, so laboratory analyses and targeted treatments are possible on the same day

• More complex laboratory analyses are sent to an external laboratory by courier

• X-ray with modern digital development

• Ultrasound examination of the awake animal for all organs and also for pregnancy examinations

Gynecology and breeding

• Preventive examinations (X-ray/genetic tests) for breeding approval (such as HD, ED, etc.)

• Determination of the optimum mating time with hormone test and cytology

• Breeder support incl. documentation from mating to whelping or sale

• Artificial insemination of bitches incl. insemination of the male

• Obstetrics, including caesarean section if necessary

Dentistry

• Teeth cleaning with teeth cleaning device incl. polishing

• Teeth extractions, if necessary also serial extractions in cats

• Removal of epulis and warts in the mouth with SURGITRON

Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a manual therapy for the examination and treatment of joints with reduced mobility (especially in the spine) and pain conditions of mechanical origin. Chiropractic treatment affects the nervous and muscular system and can be used in the following situations:

Chronic disease of the musculoskeletal system

Acute tension and stiffness

Maintaining mobility in older animals

To maintain performance in sports animals

Animal chiropractic does not replace conventional basic medical care, but is integrated into it

• Our own vet store with a wide range of quality food for dogs and cats is located directly in the practice of the AM BLAUEN animal health center with a separate entrance and parking lot. The range includes well-known brands (Hill's, Royal Canin) in all packaging sizes for young and old, small and large pets, as well as pet accessories such as toys, bones, leads, cat baskets, blankets, etc. With this service, we are meeting the wishes of numerous customers for expert nutritional advice and optimum service from a single source.

Orthopaedic examination with gait analysis

• Electronic transponder marking with chip and registration (as a cat friendly clinic, we support cat chipping so that as many cats as possible can be identified, ask about our special offer)
