IG Kinderwerkstatt
The Kinderwerkstatt will move to a new, modern location next school year, while retaining its proven concept and childcare ratio!
Our new address is Ringstrasse 20 in 11erei, a modern combination of living and working.
The Kinderwerkstatt has been offering all children a place to play, learn and live since 1993 and has been recognized as a Montessori house by the Association Montessori Switzerland (AMS) since 2010. In addition to the basis of Montessori pedagogy, our teaching and learning philosophy is based on the latest educational achievements.
Kinderkrippefor toddlers from 3 months to 3 years
The Kinderwerkstatt crèche is a small, family crèche for toddlers from 2 months. It is located at Bahnhofstrasse 28, in the heart of Dübendorf, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The philosophy of the pedagogically sophisticated crèche is based on the principles of Maria Montessori and Dr. Emmi Pikler. The nursery is characterized by the individual and loving care of the children as well as by a very experienced and long-standing team. Outdoor activities such as forest days or walks are also integrated into the day nursery's daily routine.
Day nursery for children aged 3 to 6 years
The Montessori nursery at the Kinderwerkstatt is a bilingual day nursery for children aged 3 to 6 years. It is located at Oberdorfstrasse 62 in Dübendorf and can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from the train station. The kindergarten is a bilingual all-day kindergarten where children are cared for in a prepared environment that is adapted to their individual needs. The children are accompanied in English and German. The kindergarten offers an environment in which every child can freely develop their social, emotional, practical and intellectual talents and interests, as well as their artistic and manual skills.
Day school for pupils aged 6 to 12
The Montessori school at the Kinderwerkstatt is a bilingual day school for children aged 6 to 12. It is located at Oberdorfstrasse 62 in Dübendorf and is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The state-approved, private school is recognized by the Association Montessori Switzerland (AMS) and is the only Montessori school in Dübendorf. The pupils are taught and supervised bilingually by trained teachers in a mixed-age group. The Kinderwerkstatt elementary school offers an alternative to an overly performance-oriented school system that treats all children equally. The Kinderwerkstatt has set itself the task of seeing each child individually and allowing them to learn at their own pace. In addition to being based on Montessori pedagogy, our teaching and learning philosophy is based on the latest educational achievements and more than covers the curriculum of the Canton of Zurich.
