History:

On April 1, 1979, Willi Hirt took over the premises of Schneider + Christen at Rheinstrasse 73 in Frenkendorf. He founded the sole proprietorship Willi Hirt Schreinerei.

The range of services included carpentry (doors, window sills, lintels, paneling, etc.), custom-made furniture, repairs, and furniture restoration. As a supplier to shopfitting companies, furniture and fittings for upscale shopfitting were also manufactured.

The range of services was later expanded to include the installation of textile floor coverings and parquet flooring. Curtains were also made or altered. The company's own range was expanded to include furniture from other manufacturers. Everything can be viewed in a permanent exhibition covering an area of 400 m².

When the company founder Willi Hirt passed away in January 1995, the company was continued by his wife and son as Willi Hirt Möbel-Innenausbau GmbH.

One of the company's specialties is modular shoe cabinets and wardrobes, which are available in various widths and wood finishes, with a standard depth of only 25 cm.
In order to meet the needs of future customers, we offer original children's furniture and wooden figures. We also offer a range of desks that grow with the child (height-adjustable desks), which can be expanded to create an office.

The staff consists of Mr. J.P. Hirt as workshop manager, Mrs. Hirt in administration, four trained carpenters as employees in the company, and two apprentices. Apprentices have been trained every two years since 1982.

For over 20 years, all our work has been focused on manufacturing ergonomic, expandable furniture of the highest quality for children and young people. The proven "Young Office System Basic" was developed in collaboration with ergonomists, orthopedists, parents, and children.

• Cradle rental
  A cradle is just right for newborns. Security, gentle rocking, and a feeling of closeness are very important for babies in their first six months of life. Only then are they big enough for a crib. We offer you the option of renting cradles for a specific period of time. This allows you to save money and space.
