Gemeinde Gampel-Bratsch

Gampel-Bratsch is a residential community with excellent infrastructure. The range of commercial and service providers is correspondingly diverse and comprehensive. The central location of Gampel-Bratsch also contributes to its appeal as a residential community – the Lötschberg is in the immediate vicinity; travel times to the centers of Visp, Brig, and Siders are short, and even the cantonal capital of Sion can be reached in half an hour. Public transport connections by bus and train are excellent.

The municipality of Gampel-Bratsch stretches from the Rhone Valley to Einig Alichji/Nivengrad (2,769 meters above sea level). Due to the enormous difference in altitude, all climatic and vegetational contrasts are united in a very small area. The dry valley mountains feature unique steppe vegetation. The Gampel-Bratsch area consists of the villages of Gampel (634 m above sea level), Niedergampel (640 m above sea level), Bratsch (1,090 m above sea level), Engersch (1,590 m above sea level), and Jeizinen (1,536 m above sea level).
