In order to convey the uniqueness of our valley to your palate, we source our products primarily from local and regional producers and suppliers.

The Schreckfeld mountain restaurant in Grindelwald is located just 50 meters from the First cable car, in the middle of the impressive mountain world. Our serviced restaurant seats up to 150 guests. So you will always find a free seat here. Take your time and fortify yourself with home-style cooking.

Our kitchen offers a wide range of home-style menus for young and old. Our chefs mainly use regional products.

In winter, you will find a satellite kitchen in the snow on our terrace. This allows guests to watch the chefs prepare the menu of their choice

ACTIVITIES IN WINTER

There is plenty to experience around the restaurant. In winter, the mountain lifts are in operation and you can spend hours on the kilometers of slopes. There are also great opportunities for sledging and beautiful hiking trails.

ACTIVITIES IN SUMMER

In summer, in addition to great opportunities for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts, there is the First Flieger, an 800-metre-long wire slide from First to Schreckfeld. Or take the Trottibike down into the valley and enjoy the breathtaking view.
