To convey the uniqueness of our valley to your palate, we source our products mainly from local and regional producers andsuppliers.

The Schreckfeld mountain restaurant in Grindelwald is located just 50 meters from the First cable car, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. Our restaurant seats up to 150 guests, so you'll always find a free table. Take your time and enjoy some home-style cooking.

Our kitchen offers a wide range of home-style menus for young and old. Our chefs mainly use regional products.

In winter, you will find a satellite kitchen in the snow on our terrace. This allows guests to watch the chefs preparing their chosen menu.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

There is plenty to do around the restaurant. In winter, the mountain railways are in operation and you can spend hours on the miles of slopes. There are also great opportunities for sledding and beautiful hiking trails.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

In summer, in addition to wonderful opportunities for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts, there is the First Flieger, an 800-meter-long wire rope slide from First to Schreckfeld. Or ride a trottibike down into the valley and enjoy the breathtaking views.
