Wellness in the glacier garden

Relax after a strenuous day of skiing or hiking in our wellness area. We have a steam bath, a sauna and a cozy relaxation room to relax in. The wellness area is located in the basement of the hotel, which you can easily reach by elevator. When renovating the wellness area, we attached great importance to natural materials, using oak and Swiss stone pine from the region. The sauna and steam bath are nude areas and therefore only accessible to adults. Bathrobes and slippers can be hired on request for a small fee.

Summer in Grindelwald

Summer in Grindelwald is beautiful, romantic and offers almost endless things to do to enjoy your well-deserved vacation.

Hiking
Grindelwald is a true paradise for hikers. On about 300km of well-groomed hiking trails you can marvel at the unique mountain world of Grindelwald and feel the power of nature around you. The First hiking area, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the valley station, offers classic hikes such as First-Bachalpsee-Faulhorn-Bussalp or First-Schwarzhorn-Grosse Scheidegg. First also offers an alpine playground on Bort, the First Flyer from First to Schreckfeld or the scooter bikes from Bort to Grindelwald. Hiking in such magical surroundings is probably not available anywhere else in the world.

Hiking in Grindelwald

Jungfraujoch
The Jungfraujoch, the highest railroad station in Europe, is an attraction not to be missed. Take the Wengernalp Railway from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg and from there the Jungfrau Railway through the Eiger to the Jungfraujoch at 3471m above sea level with fantastic views of the Aletsch Glacier and the entire UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Winter

Grindelwald, the ski resort with a centuries-old tradition, offers something for all snow and winter lovers.

Skiing
On Grindelwald's network of pistes, you can let off steam on many slopes of all levels of difficulty. There are three different ski areas to choose from: First, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Mürren-Schilthorn, which together offer a good 215 kilometers of slopes. All ski tickets can be obtained directly from us at reception.

Grindelwald-First
This ski area is the sunniest of all and offers a good 60 kilometers of well-groomed slopes, fantastic mountain views of the famous Bernese Alps, the "White Elements" snow park with kickers, rails, boxes and a halfpipe. In winter, if there is enough snow, you can practically ski right up to our hotel.
