Biolandbau Guggenbüel Illnau

Sabrina Otto and Bruno Zähner run the Guggenbüel organic farm in Illnau ZH together with employees and apprentices. The Guggenbüel organic farm has been managed according to Bio Suisse guidelines for 30 years and has now been managed according to Demeter principles for four years. We farm around 36 hectares of land with our dairy sheep, meat sheep, horses, woolly pigs and goats. In summer (around 4 months) a large part of our herd is on the alp we manage in Tamina Valley (SG). In the remaining months, our animals can be found around our farm. In the winter months, we lead a wandering herd through the Zürioberland with the sheep that are not milked. We live and love the tradition of shepherding. In the dairy sheep flock, the lambs are reared with their mothers.
