Learn English? Simple and fun in our English Club
We regularly offer English courses for children, which are lovingly and competently prepared and run by a member of staff. The lessons are fun and successful. Everything is based on the mother tongue principle. Just like their mother tongue, the children learn through repeated listening and positive reinforcement. They learn the correct accent, grammar and vocabulary through play. Games, verses, songs, movement sequences and direct instruction alternate harmoniously. Lessons take place once a week and last 60 minutes. Courses are offered for beginners and/or advanced learners, depending on requirements. The English course can be booked by semester and usually takes place within a semester (outside of school vacations).
Minimum age: 1 ½ years
Cost: 400.- / semester
The number of places is limited.
o1. Location and infrastructure
The Bienehuus crèche is located at Seestrasse 134 and 134a in Küsnacht.
Spacious rooms and a large entrance area invite children to play and linger. The group rooms offer the best conditions for group work (singing, playing, storytelling, etc.), free play, craft studio (painting, handicrafts, kneading, etc.), rhythm room (movement and music), as well as plenty of opportunities to retreat and rest. The crèche has direct access to the crèche garden, which invites children to play. There is a variety of outdoor play equipment, plenty of space to play, jump and run around and a wide range of natural materials such as sand, water, wood and stones. The parking spaces on Untere Dorfstrasse and the pedestrian underpass must be used to drop off and pick up the children.
The crèche is a 3-minute walk from Küsnacht railroad station on a path suitable for baby carriages. The central location allows us to reach the lake and forest (Tobel) in a short time.
o2. Mission
The private day nursery Bienehuus Küsnacht is an educational, family-supplementary day care service for children of pre-school age. We see ourselves as a learning organization and strive to continuously develop our facility. Our work focuses on the following areas:
Social-pedagogical mission
Education refers to the targeted teaching of social values and norms, especially in the area of interpersonal interaction.
The educational mission of the crèche refers to the personality-building aspects of interacting with children, which are not easily available or given in the everyday world. For example, in the areas of introduction to culture, creativity or language development, targeted stimulation and support should be aimed for.
The communal and integrative mission results from the diverse composition of the crèche clientele. By striving for social, cultural and age mix, nurseries create ideal places in which social learning takes place and which offer opportunities to develop a sense of community and integration.
Social mission
The changing role in society means that day nurseries support the process of emancipation, as they are able to meet this interest by offering childcare places, thereby enhancing the value of domestic and educational work.
The preventative mission relates to the prevention of problems. On the one hand, through early detection of conspicuous behavior in children, and on the other, by supporting parents in difficult stages of parenting. In both cases, parents receive targeted advice and support from the staff and, if necessary, are referred to counseling services.
o3. Target group
The crèche has a total of 22 places in two family groups (mixed-age groups), which can be booked by the day. Children are admitted to the crèche from the age of eight weeks until they start kindergarten
o4. Social-pedagogical attitude
The children are the focus of our crèche. We regard and respect them as independent personalities. It is important for the child to build good and supportive relationships with the educators so that they can develop sufficient trust to express their needs and pursue them. The children should feel comfortable and accepted, which is why we listen to their needs and pay sensitive attention to them.
Another important aspect of social development in early childhood is regular contact with other children. Even the youngest children look for and need other children. They stimulate each other and learn a lot from each other. In order for the child to practise "social learning", rules and activities adapted to their age and development are important. By dealing with boundaries within the group, through the experience of being accepted and tolerated by others and through the example set by the teachers, the child can adopt positive models for their social behavior. They learn to endure conflict situations, show their own feelings, learn to argue and suggest solutions, i.e. to compromise.
Children need opportunities to move around during the day in order to experience and measure their physical strength and limits. We offer opportunities for this in the crèche with versatile and changeable materials. When selecting and storing these, we take into account that the children can also use some of them without our help. The children should be able to spend as much time as possible outdoors and pursue their activities there. The material found in nature encourages creative play. A conscious approach to nature and animals is important to us. To this end, we use playgrounds, the nature reserve, the forest and excursions into the surrounding area.
Children need opportunities to retreat in order to be able to pursue their individual needs. We offer the children the use of all rooms in the crèche. Free play also plays an important role in this area. With a wide range of play activities, the child is given the opportunity to develop cognitively and gain experience.
Health promotion is a central concern, which is why we pay attention to a balanced diet, as well as support and care appropriate to the child's age and development. Care situations are experienced holistically by the children so that they can develop a healthy body awareness. At mealtimes, we attach great importance to a relaxed and informal atmosphere and thus promote enjoyable social interaction.
Children who are experiencing difficulties can only develop their personality to the full if the caregivers recognize the difficulties early on, name them and give the child the necessary support.
In everyday daycare, we look for specific ways or take measures to help the child overcome their difficulties. In these situations, discussions with the parents are of particular importance. However, we also attach great importance to discussions and exchanges with parents in everyday life.
It is important to us to educate the children towards independence by using the opportunities of everyday life so that they can practise this. We are convinced that independent children can develop a healthy self-confidence / self-esteem and are therefore less at risk of addiction and more positive in life.
In summary, the aim of care at the Bienehuus Küsnacht crèche is to promote age-appropriate holistic development, which is achieved through upbringing, education and care. The caregivers ensure the physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being of the child and promote linguistic, motor and cognitive skills.

The operation is regularly inspected by the guardianship authority and the food inspectorate. Supervision is the responsibility of Chinderhuus Küsnacht GmbH in accordance with the guidelines of the guardianship authority.
o7. Sponsorship
The sponsor of the Bienehuus Küsnacht crèche is Chinderhuus Küsnacht GmbH.
o8. Care / Care team
Playing, laughing, painting, singing, dancing, arguing or doing handicrafts together, all this (and much more) is possible in the Bienehuus Küsnacht crèche. In different groups we give the children space for new contacts and experiences. The child is at the center of our educational work. We take them seriously and accompany and support them on their individual path. Our caregivers create a loving atmosphere of security and trust for the children, in which they can develop their personality and continue to grow.
The care team includes pedagogically trained people, apprentices and young interns. This ensures a good mix of expertise, youthfulness, consistency and renewal. Coordination and management is carried out by the management. We promote the further training of our employees within the scope of our financial possibilities.
o9. Opening hours / vacations, vacations and public holidays
The opening hours of the Bienehuus Küsnacht crèche are:
Monday to Thursday from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm
Friday from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.
In summer, the crèche is closed for two weeks (weeks 31 and 32), as well as between Christmas and New Year, and on the following holidays and public holidays:
Karfreitag, Easter Monday, Sechseläuten- Monday, 1. May, Ascension Day (Thu and Fri), Whit Monday, August 1st, Knabenschiessen-Monday.
The necessary care time per child is discussed individually with the parents and should not exceed 9 hours per day. In order to offer the child a certain consistency in the group and in the care relationship, we recommend a minimum attendance of 2 days per week.
1o. daily routine / meals
The children are brought to the crèche by 9 a.m. at the latest. After snack, the children are looked after in groups. After lunch, there is a rest period during which the children sleep or pursue a quiet activity.
We pay attention to an age-appropriate, healthy diet and the meals are freshly prepared every day. The children also receive a "z'Nüni" and a "z'Vieri".
We ask parents not to give the children any food or sweets such as chewing gum, sweets, chocolate, etc.
The children are looked after without coercion or punishment. Enjoying food is important, that the children eat everything is less important. When the children are tired, they are allowed to sleep, but there is no obligation to sleep. Personal hygiene, washing hands and brushing teeth should not become a procedure, but a positive experience.
11. admission criteria / admission procedure
The childcare places are available to interested parents who can arrange a visit and/or request a registration form. This registration is non-binding for both parties. If demand is high, we keep a waiting list.
As soon as a place becomes available in the foreseeable future, we will contact the parents. If the child can be admitted, this will be recorded in writing between the parents and the management.
12. financing / parental contributions
A deposit of one month's fees must be paid when the contract is concluded. This will be refunded without interest if the child leaves in good time and gives written notice, but will be forfeited if the child leaves in any other way. The costs of the childcare places are regulated in the parental contribution regulations and are calculated taking into account the number of days of occupancy. The monthly invoice is sent to parents with a payment slip. If parents no longer require a monthly invoice, this can be reported to the office.
The monthly fees are payable in advance, by the 28th of the month at the latest. If payment is more than 30 days overdue, the place may be allocated elsewhere.
If a child comes to the crèche in addition to the agreed days, the usual daily rates or (for additional individual hours) CHF 15 per hour will be charged.
13. Admission / settling-in period
After the contract is signed, arrangements are made regarding the date of admission, settling-in period, costs, etc.
In order to facilitate admission and the initial period in the crèche, the parents or a parent accompany their child for part of the day at the crèche. The settling-in period begins slowly, with a few hours, and increases gradually. The duration and form of the settling-in phase can vary depending on the child's situation. The nursery management decides on the length of the settling-in period. At the beginning of the settling-in period, an admission interview takes place.
There is a brief daily exchange between the parents and the nursery teachers about the child's condition.
14. Clothes
The children should wear durable clothes that are suitable for the weather, which they can also wear when playing, doing handicrafts and outdoors. Their own spare clothes, depending on the season (including caps, gloves, swimming trunks, etc.), should always be available in the crèche. Underwear, slippers, rubber boots, rain jackets and rain pants should also be stored in the crèche. All clothes, shoes, jackets etc. should be labeled with the child's name. We give dirty clothes to the parents to wash at home
15. Personal toys
It is nice for the child to be allowed to take their favorite toy, cuddly toy or pacifier with them. However, we would like to point out that we cannot accept any responsibility if something is broken or lost. So please leave valuable items at home, including weapons and war toys.
16. illness / absence of children
In order to ensure a stable group composition that is important for the child and the caregivers, there are binding attendance times for the children. These are determined when the child enters the crèche according to the needs of the parents and the capacity of the crèche.
Absences cannot be compensated. For organizational reasons, absences must be reported to the childcare team by 9 a.m. at the latest. The team must be informed of vacation absences as early as possible (at least 2 weeks in advance). Sick children may not be brought to the crèche. If a child falls ill in the crèche during the day, the parents will be informed so that they can collect the child. Parents are responsible for visits to the doctor. In emergencies, we will contact a doctor or the emergency ward of a hospital and inform the parents at the same time. The costs of medical treatment are borne by the parents.
17. health insurance / liability insurance
The child must be insured with a health insurance company for illness and accidents. In the crèche, the child is not insured against accidents.
We recommend that parents take out private liability insurance.
18. safety
Measures are taken where necessary to ensure the safety of the children, such as: Child safety locks, protected sockets, safety strips for walks etc.
In addition, we strive for a high standard of operational hygiene.
19. Collection of a child by third parties / child transportation by car
If a child is to be collected by a third party, the group leader or nursery manager (house manager) must be informed of this in good time. Otherwise, we will contact the parents by telephone and keep the child with us in case of uncertainty.
Staff are generally permitted to take children in private cars. However, this will only happen in exceptional cases (e.g. doctor's visit, day trip, etc.), whereby the children will be secured in approved child seats.
20. parent work
The nursery should offer the individual child a variety of development opportunities. It should be a new environment, learning and living space. However, these can only be utilized if the child can experience safety and security in its relationships with the educators. For this to be possible, intensive cooperation between parents and nursery is required. We strive for good networking between teachers and parents through various activities such as discussions, parents' evenings, parties and events. The manager is responsible for working with parents.
Exchange of information:
The transition for the child from the parents to the educators or from the educators to the parents should take place smoothly for the child and sufficient time should be allowed for this. Information about the child's condition or other topics is usually exchanged. It is important to us to create as relaxed an atmosphere as possible in these situations and to incorporate and integrate the parents' farewell rituals.
Parent-teacher conferences:
Annual (or as required) discussions are held with the parents about the child's stage of development, integration in the nursery, special features, etc. We develop specific support measures together with the parents and try these out in everyday life. If necessary, the trained staff support parents with parenting issues or refer them to qualified specialists. We strive for a climate of mutual openness in which it is possible to address the problems that the child carries from home to the crèche or vice versa. We assume that parents are willing to have these discussions with us.
Parent events:
Parent events serve to get to know each other better in an informal atmosphere and to build up mutual trust. They should provide space for spontaneous discussions and contact between parents and between parents and teachers. By involving parents in activities and theme-based events, a "togetherness" is created between parents, children and educators. 21. Public relations
- Good networking in the village and the neighborhood is important to us. We also maintain professional contacts with various organizations.
- Our employees attend further training courses specific to crèches and toddlers.
- We offer taster internships to young people, giving them an insight into the professional field of early childhood educators.
- The three-year training of apprentices to become childcare specialists, which we also offer in our crèche, is very important to us.
22. team meetings
- Important information from and for the parents and about the children's well-being is exchanged between the staff during the daily handovers (early morning service / late evening service).
- Regular team meetings are used to discuss educational and organizational issues and to ensure a good flow of information. Pedagogical, organizational, personnel, etc. objectives for the crèche are developed together.
- Trainees and interns are regularly guided and supported by trained early childhood educators. The meetings include everyday questions, the review of personal objectives, the evaluation of specific tasks and educational problems
23. withdrawal from the contract
If the contract is withdrawn from between the conclusion of the contract and entry, a one-off lump sum for expenses in the amount of one month's lump sum is owed in accordance with the contract. The date of entry is the first regular day of care after settling in.
24 Termination / withdrawal
The day nursery place is terminated at the end of the month after written notice has been given with two months' notice. An exception applies to children entering kindergarten. These childcare places can also be terminated at the end of the Küsnacht school summer vacation. In the event of termination by mutual agreement (for the good of the child) during the settling-in period, a lump sum of 200.00 plus the settling-in fee is due. The children's group will be informed of the child's departure and this will be discussed in an age-appropriate manner. With a farewell party, we create a ritual to say goodbye to each other.
25. exclusion
The exclusion of a child can take place at any time at the end of a week without giving reasons by the management (e.g. non-payment of fees, breach of contract, unacceptable behavior of the child in the group, etc.). The decision will be communicated in writing.
