The SanArena Rescue School is a foundation of Zürcher Kantonalbank. The purpose of the foundation is to provide the general public with as much knowledge and correct behavior in medical emergencies as possible.

The SanArena Rescue School has been in existence for over 40 years and has trained well over 200,000 people in emergency aid during this time. Around 10,000 people attend our courses, training and education every year. We have modern training facilities at our headquarters in Zurich.
Our emergency aid course is unique in Switzerland. The realistic scenarios enable sustainable training. Our aim is to offer participants on repeat courses new, realistic training situations time and time again.

The trainers
SanArena employs around 40 part-time trainers. The majority of our instructors work in hospitals, rescue services or other medical organizations. In other words, people who work in various professions such as paramedic, emergency doctor, anesthesia nurse, nurse, intensive care nurse, surgical nurse or medical practice assistant. At SanArena, courses are taught in German and, for some courses, also in French and English.
In addition to specialist knowledge, our teaching staff have methodological and didactic training. In this way, SanArena ensures a level-appropriate, attractive and sustainable education. Regular further training and self-assessments lead to ongoing development of the courses on offer and the necessary quality assurance.

Our customers
Our customers come to us in Zurich from all over Switzerland. However, many courses are also held at the customer's home. First aid is a topic for everyone. That is why our customer base is made up of various professional, private and social groups. Numerous banks, insurance companies, industrial and commercial enterprises, schools, associations, federal and cantonal companies, hospitals, professional associations, etc. rely on SanArena when it comes to training for emergency medical situations.
