Near Winterthur, Kyburg Castle towers proudly 150 meters above the Töss, ideally located for hikes and excursions in a beautiful landscape. Kyburg Castle is the best-preserved feudal castle in north-eastern Switzerland and the oldest castle museum in Switzerland.
The exhibition shows the almost 1000-year history of Kyburg's rulers and allows visitors to experience the complex architecture of the monument in a new way. Dozens of suits of armor and helmets as well as hundreds of half-arms can be admired in the richly stocked armoury. Audio guides in German, English, French and Italian are available for individual tours of the exhibition
You can linger in the baroque palace garden and admire the vegetables, medicinal herbs and flowers. On the ring wall path, you can enjoy a magnificent view. Children will love the dragon hunt in the castle and the playground in front of the castle garden.
