Schneider Transport:

It all started with a horse and cart

Hans Schneider started Bahncamionage on June 1, 1953, with a bridge wagon pulled by two horses. Every day, he delivered general cargo to recipients and also worked on his parents' farm in Bellach. Later, a delivery van was added, and a tractor was used to transport raw bus bodies and tram cars from Carrosserie Hess and reload them.

Municipal operations
In 1964, Schneider Transporte began collecting rubbish with one vehicle, initially in Bellach, Bettlach, Langendorf, Lengnau, and Pieterlen. Later, Luterbach, Koppigen, and Willadingen were added, and the fleet was expanded to four vehicles. Waste disposal has become more differentiated. Whereas in the past all waste ended up in an open landfill, today combustible waste, paper/cardboard, green waste, metal, and stones are collected and disposed of separately. Street cleaning was added in 1986. Today, 20 municipalities at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains are served.
