Electricity

Since 2017, SIG has guaranteed you 100% renewable, Swiss or local energy. Choose the quality of electricity you want from the Electricité Vitale range. The higher the share of Electricité Vitale Vert you choose, the more environmentally friendly and local the energy you consume.

Natural gas

With the Gaz Vitale range, heat and cook for an attractive price without increasing your carbon footprint. You're acting for the environment by contributing to the development of biogas and supporting sustainable projects.

Remote heating

Cool and heat your buildings with innovative local renewable energies: join the thermal networks developed by SIG! We can help you choose and design scalable district heating (DH) or district cooling (DC) solutions.

Drinking water

Geneva's water is local, ecological and of excellent quality. Its composition, varied in mineral salts, is comparable to some bottled waters. It's not for nothing that 93% of Genevans drink it daily!

Waste

SIG collects and treats waste from professionals and businesses:  an essential operation for the quality of life and sustainable development of the canton of Geneva. 

Wastewater

SIG collects and treats the canton's wastewater, thanks to the 7 wastewater treatment plants spread across the canton. Partly thanks to the sewage tax, we invest 15 million francs each year to maintain and renovate these facilities.

A Smart City is a city capable of offering its inhabitants a high quality of life with minimal resource consumption, thanks to an intelligent combination of infrastructure and technological innovations. SIG intends to become the preferred partner for developing a smart canton, towns and cities in Geneva.

• Quartier Libre

As an emblematic figure of Geneva, the Pont de la Machine building is an important witness to the city's early industrialization and is Geneva's oldest structure over the Rhône in an urban environment. For many years, it regulated the level of the river before the Seujet factory took over. Completely transformed, the building now houses Quartier Libre SIG.

• The House of the Future

Situated in an environment with high landscape value, this 620 m² building offers a program of multiple activities such as temporary exhibitions, educational workshops, tours or even conferences. Come and discover it!
