When it comes to food and drink, we all agree: we like it good and authentic. Products with character are our passion, and we have now collected quite a few from all over Europe.
When it comes to classic wines, we know no boundaries!
SCALA VINI became known 30 years ago for wines from Italy and later Austria. However, we have never lost sight of the classic wine regions and have enjoyed drinking wines from beyond the borders of these two countries. This has also been reflected in our range on several occasions – first with great sweet wines and now also with white wines from Istvan Szespy from Tokay (Hungary), and for a few years now with a Rioja that we liked and which now also has a permanent place in our range. This emboldened us, and so wines from other regions were added, mostly absolute finds and wines that we simply love. Our S Fabrik ("food factory") in Leissigen stores the goods that we consider to be authentic and consistent. We sell them at the market, across the street, and directly to our customers in the restaurant industry. We also focus our attention on our own pasta production and our winery in northern Piedmont. In the meantime, we are closing in on those who produce something exceptionally good. We are on the trail of the gourmet mafia—we know who pulls the strings and where the threads come together. We are interested in this network of purists, and what it produces makes us happy.
