ARS LABOR, a firm present and operating in Lugano since 1995, deals with the conservation and restoration of works of art as well as the buying and selling of antiques. In the headquarters of Via Olgiati 4, the main activities of the firm are centralized, here the visitor is welcomed inside a polychromatic and varied reality where aesthetic sense, manual skills and artistic sensibility blend together.

The laboratory is equipped to carry out multiple activities in the field of conservation restoration: here paintings, statues, frames, and furniture arrive battered and are restarted to new life, restoring the works of art to their original usability. In addition to the activities carried out in the laboratory, there are also those carried out off-site: the restoration and conservation of works on wall supports, stucco, and gaskets in different materials, outside as well as inside buildings. We also boast fruitful experience in the field of pure and simple decoration and refurbishment ex novo of ornamental elements using disused techniques.

We are available to perform estimates, offer consultations, art-historical and diagnostic surveys based on analysis of the state of preservation, constituent materials and technique of execution - expert reports by specialists, stratigraphy analysis, archival research.
