Gemmology

For more than 40 years we have been carrying out an important activity in the field of precious stones and jewelry: an independent private service for the analysis, verification and certification of the characteristics of precious stones, pearls and ornamental materials.
Claudio Messi, as a gemmologist, with experience, instrumentation, and constant updating, is able to certify the origin of the stone, to express qualitative evaluations, with the utmost reliability and impartiality.

The laboratory

Today, the scientific aspect plays a fundamental role in the field of precious stones: the discovery of innovative materials and treatments, the presence of increasingly sophisticated synthetic stones on the market, makes this sector increasingly delicate and complex.
This is why we have a highly specialized gemmological analysis laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, thanks to which we can assess, for example, the four factors that determine the value of a diamond namely: color (Colour), clarity (Clarity), cut (Cut) and carat, i.e. weight (Carat).

Evaluations and appraisals

Our gemology services include: the drafting of insurance estimates and appraisals, and the preparation of estimates and appraisals for hereditary divisions with related provision, upon request, of specific advice.
In view of the consequent economic aspects, the examination framework will be absolutely accurate, technically unexceptionable and detailed to provide all the explanations and technical guarantees necessary for subsequent choices and decisions.
