The Pet Porte cat flap (cat sluice) has been developed to give your pets easy access to the outside world while preventing stray animals from entering your home. Unlike other cat flaps, your pet does not need to wear a collar or other cumbersome tags (which can be stressful and even dangerous in some circumstances) to use the Pet Porte cat flap.
Advantages:
- Only your cat(s) can access the house
- Your cat cannot lose the transponder. You save money
- Stray cats cannot gain access, even if your neighbor has the same cat door
- A twilight sensor can lock your cat(s) in the house at night if desired
- With "vet mode," it is also possible to prevent your cat from going outside during the day
- Suitable for glass and wood
- Battery operated in case of power failure
The Pet Porte Smart Flap is a natural evolution of the original Pet Porte microchip cat flap and allows your pets easy access to the outside world while preventing strange animals from entering the house. Unlike other cat flaps, your pet does not need to wear a collar or other accessories for Pet Porte.
Smart Flap uses the same patented technology and reads the identification number of the microchip that veterinarians implant under the skin of animals. Every time your cat is under the canopy, the system will scan the identification number. If the number matches the number programmed for that cat, the lock will open and allow the animal to enter. If the animal has not yet been programmed, the number will not match, the flap will remain closed, and access to your home will be denied.
If you are unsure whether your cat already has a microchip implanted, ask your veterinarian to check. Pet Porte Smart Flap is designed to read the most common type of microchip, the FDX-B; it does not recognize other microchips. If you are unsure which microchip your cat has, ask your veterinarian or visit our website and try our microchip compatibility checker.
