Company history
In 1987, Josef Birrer founded the company in Luthern at the Wursthof site. With a modest infrastructure at the time, he started out on his own. Over time, the company continuously invested in machinery and equipment.
In 1990, the Wursthof workshop was expanded. Employees were also hired.
In 1996, the Rosenmatt property in the village was taken over from the former Roos carpentry workshop.
From 1997, apprentices are also trained in the Birrer carpentry workshop. In addition, more and more work is now also carried out in the field of timber construction/staircase construction.
1999 The Rosenmatt workshop is also expanded. The areas of work become increasingly diverse. Specialization in a few products/services is deliberately avoided.
In the fall of
2008, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new workshop on the Rosenmatt property takes place.
At the beginning of 2012, a new era in our company history began. The company was transformed into a public limited company and is now called Birrer Schreinerei Holzbau AG.
