Comprehensive medical care

The Malters Medical Centre was created in 2010 from the merger of the three local GP practices  of Dr. Bruno Zaugg, Dr. Eric Wigger (predecessor Dr. Hans Wehrmüller) and Dr. Bernhard Estermann. Population growth, the increase in the number of elderly people and the growing medical possibilities and necessities required a continuous adjustment of medical capacities. There are currently eight doctors working in our GP practice  since May 2019, our team has been complemented by Regina Babica specialist in gynaecology, since November 2019 Dr. med. Thomas Baur, and we have also been able to recruit Dr. Juliane Legnini as a GP from 2022. Dr. Pascal Distel from June 2023 and Dr. Tabea Zaugg from August 2023. Marieke Raffenberg will also join our team of doctors in June 2024. Our aim is to provide individual, holistic and consistent care in the doctor-patient relationship. Our medical practice assistants are also becoming increasingly important by relieving us of many tasks and becoming more and more competent.

The medical center had to be expanded by a further six consultation rooms after just five years.
